AcoR and AMR launch ETIC Center, an online information platform for local elected officials and civil servants developed from Norway grants

The Association of Romanian Communes (AcoR) and the Association of Romanian Municipalities (ARM) launched on Thursday, November 26, 2020, the ETIC Center, a free online information platform for local elected officials and civil servants, targeting areas such as ethics, transparency , incompatibilities and conflict of interest developed under the project “Improving the access and the quality of services for citizens – a transparent and accountable public administration”, a project funded by the Norway Grants under the Local Development Programme. The initiative meets the information needs of local public authorities by collecting targeted information in one place, while being interactive and easy to use by anyone.

The ETIC Information Center is a portal with data of interest, divided into the following categories:

Legislation – legislation in force on ethics, transparency, incompatibilities and conflict of interest;
Guides / Models / Studies – collection of guides and studies developed within the project, but also within other initiatives. Those interested can find out the steps they need to take to improve access to and quality of services for citizens;
Examples of good practice – a source of inspiration in strengthening professional ethics, transparency and integrity;
Frequently asked questions – a series of legislative points of view that answer the most common questions.
The interactive component of the platform is given by real-time communication with users. They can ask questions related to the mentioned areas to which an E-ICT expert will answer as soon as possible.

There is also a page with useful links that provide links to organizations working in these fields and to the web pages of similar projects.

ACoR and ARM aim to further develop and update this platform, collecting as much data from the territory as possible, so that the user has access to as wide a range of information as possible to assist him in the responsible exercise of the public function he he owns it.
