The new law of the EU on the protection of personal data, GDPR (“General Data Protection Regulation”) entered into force on May 25, 2016, and started to take effect from May 25, 2018. This law is the most important change in the field of personal data protection for the last 20 years and has objectives that go far beyond simply protecting the private area.
