With people, for people

The Romanian Social Development Fund is a public interest organization established by the Romanian Government by Law no. 129/1998, which contributed to the administration of grant schemes and programs with international grant funding addressed to the poor and isolated communities, most of them from rural areas, and participated in the effective implementation of projects of national, sectorial and local interest.

The main areas covered by the RSDF activity:

  • social inclusion (with emphasis on Roma communities)
  • social and economic development
  • equal opportunities
  • fighting poverty
  • community development
  • education

During 2013-2017, RSDF implemented the RO10 Programme Children and Youth at Risk and Local and Regional Initiatives for Reducing National Inequalities and Promotings Social Inclusion, funded by EEA Grants 2009-2014.

Starting with 2018, the RSDF is a Programme Operator for the Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Roma Inclusion Programme, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021.
