The call for proposals for bilateral initiatives launched today aims to facilitate the exchange and transfer of information, knowledge, technology, experience, and best practices between Project Promoters and their partners in Romania, on the one hand, respectively relevant entities from the Donor States and/or international organizations, on the other hand, in areas of interest and on topics specific to projects funded by the Local Development Programme.

In this sense, the call supports participation in bilateral and network meetings, training sessions, workshops, study visits, conferences, and seminars relevant to the area of action of the project being implemented.

The total amount allocated to finance bilateral initiatives submitted under Appeal 2 is 50,000  65.700 Euro. The maximum amount of the grant that can be allocated to a bilateral initiative is 5,000 8,000 Euro.

Only entities involved (as Project Promoters or partners) in the implementation of a project funded under the Local Development Programme may apply for funding.

Funding applications can be submitted starting with July 6, 2020. The funded bilateral initiatives are to be implemented not later than September 30, 2024. For details on the specific funding conditions of the call, please consult the applicant’s guide and the documents attached to it.

On Thursday, August 5, 2021, the RSDF published Corrigendum no. 1 to Appeal 2 – call for proposals for bilateral initiatives aimed at facilitating the exchange and transfer of information, knowledge, technology, experience and good practices between Project Promoters and their partners in Romania, on the one hand, respectively relevant entities from Donor States and / or or international organizations, on the other hand, in areas of interest and on topics specific to projects funded by the Local Development Programme. The document brings changes to the level of the Guide for applicants for bilateral funds, of annex no. 1 – The application form and of annex no. 5 – Payment Request. Thus, through this corrigendum, the general information about the Program was updated, the way of providing help desk services was revised, and the application form and the declaration related to the payment application were completed with provisions regarding double financing.

On Monday, December 12, 2022, the RSDF published Corrigendum no. 2 to Call 2 – call for proposals for bilateral initiatives aimed at facilitating the exchange and transfer of information, knowledge, technology, experience and best practices between the Project Promoters and their partners in Romania, on the one hand, respectively relevant entities from the Donor States and/ or international organizations, on the other hand, in areas of interest and on topics specific to projects financed through the Local Development Program. The document brings changes at the level of the Guide for applicants for bilateral funds, of Annex no. 2 – Administrative and eligibility verification grid and Annex no. 3 – Content evaluation grid.

Thus, by means of this corrigendum, aspects concerning the eligibility of applicants and participants in the financed bilateral activities, the eligibility of activities and expenses, as well as aspects regarding the submission, evaluation and implementation duration of a bilateral initiative were revised. At the same time, through the corrigendum, the total amount allocated to the call was supplemented and the amount of the grant allocated to a bilateral initiative was increased.
