Three organizations from Iceland and two from Norway, interested in partnerships in the human rights area
The seminar for identifying partners from the Donor States, organized by RSDF (online) on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, opened the way for future collaborations between participating entities from Romania, Iceland and Norway, in the context of the call “Human Rights – National Implementation”, opened under the Local Development Programme.
21 representatives of 15 entities from Romania and 5 representatives of 5 entities from Iceland (Icelandic Human Rights Centre, Women’s Counselling and Child injury prevention NGO) and Norway (The Falstad Human Rights & Peace Centre and Human Rights Academy) participated in the event, expressing their interest in the development and implementation of projects in the area of human rights, in partnership, in Romania. During the seminar, the financing line “Human Rights – National Implementation” was presented, each organization from the donor states presenting then its relevant experience in the field.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS), the programme partner, who, together with the Icelandic Human Rights Centre, introduced the participants to the general institutional framework ensuring the human rights protection in Norway, respectively in Iceland, and the main public and private organizations operating in this area in the two states.
