Financial support for the exchange of best practices within the Local Development Programme
The Romanian Social Development Fund (FRDS), as Programme Operator for the “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Roma Inclusion” Programme (Local Development), funded by the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021, launched on Friday, July 3, 2020, the call for proposals for bilateral initiatives aimed at facilitating the exchange and transfer of information, knowledge, technology, experience and good practices between Project Promoters and their partners in Romania, on the one hand, and relevant entities from the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) and/or international organizations, on the other hand, in areas of interest and on topics specific to projects funded by the Local Development Programme.
The call is addressed exclusively to entities from Romania, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway or to international organizations involved (as Project Promoters or partners) in the implementation of a project funded under the Local Development Programme. Although only promoters and partners of projects funded under the Program may apply for funding under the call, representatives of other entities in Romania, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway or international organizations may participate in the proposed bilateral activities, with the condition of working in the Programme areas. At least one entity from the Donor States or an international organization must be involved in the proposed bilateral activities.
The call supports participation in bilateral and network meetings, training sessions and workshops, study visits, conferences, seminars, and other similar activities. The proposed bilateral activities will focus on topics relevant to the objectives and activities of the project funded under the Programme and will contribute to improving its results.
The total amount allocated to finance bilateral initiatives submitted under the call is 50,000 euros. The maximum amount of the grant that can be allocated to a bilateral initiative is 5,000 euros.
Eligible applicants may apply for funding under the call from 6 July 2020. The funded bilateral initiatives must place within a maximum of 3 months from the contract signing, but no later than 30 September 2024.
