Nine communes from eight counties are preparing investments in social infrastructure, with the support of EEA Grants.
The contracting of the projects approved under the call “Access to financing – 2020” was finalized in March 2021. Grants in a total amount of 235,000.00 Euro are available for the 9 beneficiary communes, for the elaboration of technical documentations needed to build some social infrastructure objectives of priority at local level.
The value of the grants allocated to the 9 town halls under the Local Development Programme varies between 10,000 and 40,000 Euro. The 9 local public authorities that will implement the projects are the communes of Teliu (Braşov), Belin (Covasna), Vârtop (Dolj), Sărățeni and Zagar (Mureș), Cetățeni (Argeș), Lipănești (Prahova), Răcăşdia (Caraș-Severin) and Ciprian Porumbescu (Suceava). The investments targeted by the 9 projects aim to improve the road infrastructure (3 projects), to modernize and build bridges (2 projects), to facilitate the access to education by building and rehabilitating schools and kindergartens (3 projects), respectively to modernize the medical infrastructure (one project).
Given the increased interest shown by the local authorities in accessing the available funds under the call and taking into account that the total financing allocated to it in 2020 (in the amount of 815,152.00 Euro) was not exhausted after contracting the 9 projects, RSDF intends to launch a final financing round under this call at the end of March 2021.
