The call for proposals “Enhancing Roma Inclusion and Empowerment” will be re-launched
The RSDF is preparing to review the documentation related to the call for projects “Enhancing Roma inclusion and Empowerment”, with a view to re-launching it, at the beginning of 2021 at the latest.
The call was opened between September 2019 and January 2020, with the deadline for submitting projects registering 32 applications for funding. Following the formal and content evaluation, only 12 projects were approved for funding. They are currently in the contracting period.
The 12 projects proposed for funding have a total value of approx. 8 million euros, the requested grants varying between approx. 400,000 and 950,000 euros. The projects mainly propose measures to increase the access of Roma people to social assistance services, medical services, employment services, education and better living conditions. At the same time, measures are being considered to help empower the Roma and combat their discrimination, including through public information campaigns and training programs for Roma specialists and representatives.
As the total funding allocated to the call Enhancing Roma Inclusion and e]Empowerment is 16,000,000 euros, an amount that will not be exhausted after contracting the 12 approved projects, the RSDF expects to open a new round of funding under this call, in December 2020 – February 2021. Those interested in submitting projects under the call, in this new round, can consult, in advance, the documentation related to the previous round of funding.
