Online information seminar for organizations interested in submitting projects under the call “Priority interventions for Roma communities”

The Romanian Social Development Fund, as Operator of the Programme “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhancing Roma Inclusion” (Local Development), funded by the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021, organizes on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, an information seminar addressed to entities interested in submitting projects under the call for projects “Priority interventions for Roma communities”.

The event aims to provide participants with specific information on the financing conditions of the projects to be submitted under the call.

The seminar will be organized online and will be broadcast live, starting at 13:00, on the YouTube and Facebook channels of the Local Development Programme. Following the event, the materials presented during the seminar will be accessible on the webpage dedicated Local Development Programme, in the Resources section.

Anyone interested will be able to watch the live broadcast of the event by accessing the following links:

and will be able to ask questions about the appeal documentation, throughout the event, by transmitting them in the form of comments to the live broadcast, on the channel on which the event is watched. The RSDF team will take over the questions addressed and will answer them either directly, during the event, or in writing, subsequently, by answering the comment (question) of that person.

Context and general information

Implemented in partnership with the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities and the Council of Europe, the Local Development Programme has a total budget of 86,941,176 euros (including 15% co-financing provided by the Romanian Government).

As part of the EEA and Norway Grants efforts to combat poverty and social exclusion through the development of strong and inclusive communities, the Local Development Programme aims to help increase the use of social services by disadvantaged groups through funded projects, of the social inclusion of children and young people at risk and of the Roma, to develop the capacity of the central and local administration to apply the principles of good governance, respectively to support the implementation of ECHR recommendations on respect for human rights in Romania. The call for projects “Priority interventions for Roma communities” (15 July – 14 October 2021) has a total financial allocation of 1,647,059 euros and aims to finance projects that address priority community needs, identified in a participatory way, and which to contribute to the improvement of living and educational conditions in disadvantaged communities with a high percentage of Roma population.
